Magic Lantern on my Canon 6D: Exposed!

I am beginning a short series on the application and functions of Magic Lantern on my Canon 6D and how it compares to the functions found on the Canon 6D standard software. Each posting I will delve into a single menu of the two softwares for side by side comparison.

Being that I am learning this Magic Lantern software as we go along there may be some functions that I will visit later after I have had more practice with them. In the first of the series I review the Exposure settings that are found in Magic Lantern. So sit back and enjoy the video!

Putting Magic on My Canon 6D

For a long time now I have been dabbling in the software known as Magic Lantern. It is a software that will enhance the features on your Canon camera. The one main feature I am looking forward to using in Magic Lantern is the intervalometer. I love taking time sequences and always found myself forgetting to grab the wired remote I have for this purpose. But now with Magic Lantern installed I will not have that problem anymore.

Now this is software (firmware) that is not authorized or supported by Canon so I was installing it at my own risk. You can see me step through the process on my YouTube channel in the video link below.

So should you install it? Well that depends if you are savvy with your Canon camera and tired of the simple features that their menus allow you to incorporate. I would say give it a try, but remember there are risks to the installing Magic Lantern.

It's been a long time since my last post, but I've recently been getting into video and vlogging. Not that I am giving up photography. Far from it. But here is a recent vlog I did on the equipment I use and my dilemma to upgrade.
